Welcome to Bikes, Boards & Blethers.
If you have stumbled onto this page it is probably because I have pestered you into visiting, so thanks and hello to you friend! If you have come across this page by chance or curiosity, let me introduce myself.
My name is Zara Kane, I hail from the small Isle of Bute off the west coast of Scotland. Falkirk is where I currently hold up with my boyfriend, Sam, and wee Jack the Jack Russell.
So what to expect from this blog? Well if you don’t know what the meaning of “blether” is, let me fill you in. Nonsense. I will be talking [writing] a load of nonsense. Hopefully the nonsense will be somewhat entertaining.
Mountain biking is my biggest love, I have been riding for around four years now and mix it up between racing, adventuring or just mincing around the woods and faffing about with friends so you can expect me to be writing a lot about all things mtb.
Wakeboarding is a very close second in my life. I currently work as a wakeboarding coach in Glasgow. Not exactly the first sport that comes to mind when you think of Scottish weather, but winter wetsuits are amazing things.
This blog will follow me on my escapades in the outdoors with race reports, interviews and reviews of events, products, and new sports. So get yourself a wee cuppa and enjoy my ramblings.
You can also follow my antics on my Instagram.
